Our Heritage

In early 1993, Pastor Bernard Ong shared his vision to pioneer a church in USJ, Subang Jaya with some Christian friends. Subsequently, on April 12th, 1993 six couples and a sister responded by meeting regularly at 25 Jalan USJ 5/1E 47610 Subang Jaya to pray for the approval of the impending work under the covering of the Assemblies of God Of Malaysia. For more than one and a half years, our Church Pioneers met on every Monday evening to devote themselves in prayers and the Word.

Hosanna Praise Assembly, Subang Jaya was officially pioneered on November 09th, 1994 as a Preaching Point under the Assemblies of God Of Malaysia with its inaugural Sunday Morning Worship on top of a sundry shop at 2-A Jalan USJ4/1, 47610 Subang Jaya. Soon, a double storey residential house at 4 Jalan USJ 4/1K was rented for our Chinese Ministry and Children Ministry. By Christmas 1994 the Church has a regular attendance of 48. In 1995 Pastor Bernard Ong was officially installed as the Senior Pastor of Hosanna Praise Assembly. By October 02nd, Hosanna Praise Assembly was upgraded to a Home Mission Church. Our 1st HPA Camp from June 02nd till 05th was held in Selesa Hillhomes in Genting Highlands. On January 26th, 1996 the Friday Morning Watch at 6am was launched while the Cell Ministry was started on April 02nd the same year. On June 22nd, 1998 our Church moved on to 29-5 & 29-6 Jalan USJ 9/5Q Subang Business Centre 47620 Subang Jaya. In 1999 we also started a Bahasa Malaysia Ministry. We also rented 27-3 Jalan USJ 9/5Q Subang Business Centre 47620 Subang Jaya for our Children Ministry.

In the same year, in line with our Mission “To reach the world with the Gospel by planting churches in the cities, towns, villages and beyond,” our Church pastor and leaders embarked on a mission trip to the Kingdom of Nepal from March 17th till 30th which subsequently resulted in Hosanna Mission Church in Naurak Village, Nepal to be planted on June 01st, 1999. With our continual involvement in the overall works of Mission in the Asian regions and particularly in the surrounding nations of Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and the Kingdom of Nepal, Hosanna Mission Church in Anboo Khaireni Village, Nepal was started on May 01st, 2001

As our Church continued to seek God’s direction to start new works within the Klang Valley, Hosanna Praise Assembly, Klang was started on September 15th, 2002 at Suite 7.04 Level 7 Menara Trend, Intan Millennium Square, 68 Jalan Batai Laut 4 Taman Intan 41300 Klang. Later, Hosanna Praise Assembly, Kajang was subsequently started on August 02nd, 2003 at 23-1 Jalan Berjaya Baru 1, Taman Berjaya Baru, Sungei Chua 43000 Kajang, Selangor Darul Ehsan. Hosanna Mission Church buildings in Naurak Village and Anboo Khaireni Village, Nepal were officially dedicated by our Senior Pastor Rev Bernard Ong during our Nepalese Mission Trip from November 08th till 17th, 2004. Our Sunday Evening Worship & Nepalese Worship were started on July 04th & October 10th, 2004 respectively.
